Ifo World Economic Climate Brightens Slightly
Munich, 11 May 2016 - The world economic climate improved slightly this quarter. The Ifo Index for the world economy rose from 87.8 points to 90.5 points, thus approaching its long-term average of 96.0 points. Although assessments of the current economic situation deteriorated marginally, economic expectations were more positive than last quarter. Experts expect the world economy to grow by 2.0 percent in 2016 and its recovery remains moderate.
